The Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional!

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

The Pledge of Allegiance, written in 1892 by a Baptist Minister named Francis Bellamy is the National Pledge of the United States. The original text was this:

"I pledge allegiance to my flag and the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

In 1942, it was made the National Pledge of the United States of America and added to the Flag Code, which is Federal Law. When it was made the National Pledge, it was a bit different than it was today.  The version used in 1942 is below...

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands; one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

This was all fine and dandy, until 1954 when it was changed to the version we hear today...

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

This is unconstitutional because of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, which reads...

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"

Due to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and the Flag Code being federal Law, the current version of the Pledge used in schools all over the country is unconstitutional. I believe that there are two possible solutions to this problem:

1. Return the pledge to the version used until 1954.
2. Alternatively, make it so that the Flag Code is no longer a part of federal law.
